CAPS-A Refresher Course 2024

CAPS-A Trainers: Helen Extence and Lucy McAndrew

Venue: John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford

This course is suitable for SLTs who have completed the original CAPS-A training course and would like an update on current recommended practice and developments in current thinking regarding the CAPS-A tool and its uses. We suggest that you may wish to attend this course to update your skills and knowledge if you completed your original training over 7 years ago.

Open to all UK and Ireland SLTs as a priority.

CAPS-A is a comprehensive training package for reporting cleft speech outcomes. The training programme consists of in-depth theoretical and practical training on the CAPS-A tool, with a final self-assessment task and certificate of course completion. This course is suitable for Specialist SLTs working in the field of Cleft Palate.

Dates & times of the 2023 CAPS-A Training course:

Thursday 9th March, 9.30 - 4.30pm

& Friday 10th March, 9.30 - 4.00pm

Location: Seminar Room 1, West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital,

Oxford, OX3 9DU, United Kingdom.

& Follow-up: Online self-assessment session

Tuesday 25th April 2023, 9.15 - 12.00pm (GMT)

Cost: £215 for 2-day course, including lunch and refreshments
